At 8:30 a.m. on September 8, 2020, Wuhan WeiMing carried out the first collective teaching and research activity of foreign teachers for the International Department. Vivian Zhao, Director of International Department, Stuart, Head of Teaching and Research of foreign teachers, Suzy Zhang , head of Teaching and Research Group of English Department of primary school. Mandy Liu, co-worker of foreign teachers and all foreign teachers participated in the activity.
2020年9月8日上午8:30分，武汉为明学校小学国际部开展了本学期外教首次集体教研活动。我校国际部主任赵静、外教教研组长Stuart、小学部英语教研组长张娟兰、外教干事刘晓艳以及全体外教老师们参加了此次活动。
First of all, Stuart, the Head of foreign teachers' gave a welcome speech to welcome all the teachers back to school. At the same time, he introduced three excellent foreign teachers, Mya, Fafa and Farida, who joined our primary school foreign teachers group this semester. Then, he made a detailed explanation on the work and arrangement of foreign teachers, including the use of teaching materials, classroom management, teaching rules, teaching preparation, classroom management, large-scale activities, team awareness, etc.
首先，外教教研组长Stuart致欢迎词，欢迎大家返回学校。同时，介绍了本学期新加入我们小学外教组的三名优秀外籍教师Mya、Fafa和Farida。紧接着，他就外教的相关工作和安排做了详细地解说，以及教材的使用，课堂教学规则、教师礼仪、教学准备、课堂交流、大型活动、团队意识等等。
Then the director Vivian Zhao arranged and explained some large-scale activities of the school in this semester. Moreover, she gave variety of important suggestions and guidances to the foreign teachers on teaching. Then, she explained the notice of teaching preparation issued by the dean's office of the school and put forward specific work requirements to all the foreign teachers.
赵主任对于本学期学校的一些大型活动和安排进行了布置和说明。并对于外教教学工作给予了很多重要的建议和指导。随后，她对学校教务处下发的《学期初教学准备工作通知》进行解读，对全学部外籍教师提出了具体的工作要求。
Finally, Mandy Liu did explanation of the daily routine work of foreign teachers, and made a detailed introduction to the teachers' assessment regulations. These introductions help foreign teachers understand the teaching requirements and classroom management norms, implement various management measures, clarify their own teaching plans and tasks, and clarify the distribution of teaching resources especially at the beginning of the semester.
最后，外教干事刘晓艳就外教的日常常规工作进行了解读和说明，并就教师考核条例向外教们做了详细的介绍。这些介绍帮助外教在学期初了解教学要求和课堂管理规范，落实各项管理措施，明确自己教学上的计划和任务，明确了教学资源分布，为下一步更好地开展教学工作、遵守学校规范，融入为明这个大家庭提供了支持与帮助。
This teaching and research activity points out the direction for primary school’s English teaching, enriches classroom teaching methods, and improves students' interest in English learning and practical ability. Through this teaching and research activities, all the foreign teachers have been fully prepared for the work of the new semester.
此次教研活动为小学部英语特色教学指明了方向，丰富了课堂教学方式，提高学生的英语学习兴趣和实践运用能力。通过此次教研，外教老师们对于新学期的工作已经做好了充分的准备。在新的学年伊始之际，我们将凝心聚力，继续前行。
