12月5日，北大附中全体师生3000多人齐聚小操场，参加升旗暨首届英语艺术节启动仪式。操场上，小学生以主持台为中心，发散排成多路纵队，初中学生排列在外围形成另一方阵，现场队伍壮观、气氛热烈。

本届英语节以“英语让未来更美好”（Better English, better future）为主题，启动仪式上，主持人潘欢老师用双语热情洋溢地介绍本次英语节丰富多彩的活动。小学部活动将从12月5号持续到12月23号。分小学低段、中段、高段进行，内容包括经典英语原声电影展演、英语歌曲串烧比赛、英语书写比赛、英语单词竞赛、“圣诞节”英语主题手抄报比赛、英语情景剧表演等等。在12月23日将对此活动集中评奖。中学活动从12月5日至12月26日，包括英语手抄报比赛，英语口语比赛，英语角活动（外教参与），班级英语晚会，研究性学习等。

在主持人的介绍下，校长走上台和学生热情互动并致开幕词。校长寄语：“英语沟通世界，艺术陶冶心灵。即将开幕的英语艺术节将通过丰富多彩的活动引领大家走进英语文化的殿堂，领略英语语言与校园艺术的完美结合带来的惊喜。我希望：全体师生共同努力，把英语艺术节办成师生欢乐的节日，校园亮丽的风景，学校文化的一项品牌活动。我相信：全体师生一定会以饱满的热情，积极的态度，投身于丰富多彩的英语文化艺术节中去，用自己的青春和智慧，展示才情，放飞理想，拥抱未来！”

接下来，主持人邀请了在学校很受欢迎的外教Micky谈谈他对语言学习的一些见解，因为我们的外教同时会三种语言哦！他告诉我们他对学习外语的感想就是――了解学习一门外语的意义。这让我们一时没反应过来，这・・・是什么方法？会不会是主持人翻译失实？s来，随着Micky抽丝剥茧一般的解说，我们终于明白了。原来，对于他来说，学习一门外语最神奇的事情就s了解不同国家的文化、风土人情，能够将不同文化之间的精粹融合到一起。看着Micky神情激昂的样子，我s也深受感染。

最后老师们和外教齐上阵，和学生一起呼出各年段激情英语的口号。现场呼声一阵高过一阵，将气氛推向高潮：“I believe I can do it! Nothing is impossible!” （我相信我能！一切皆有可能！）“Kiss English, kiss the world!”（亲吻英语，亲吻世界！）“No pain, no gain!”（有付出才有收获！）“Never too old to learn!”（活到老，学到老！）

英语节是孩子们自己的节日，在接下来一个月的时间内，孩子们将展示他们的英语作品，参加英语情景剧表演，享受运用英语的乐趣，展现他们的英语才华。希望孩子们过一个快乐，充实，多彩的英g节。

早上好，敬爱的老师们和可s的孩子们：

我很荣幸能主持北大附中首届英语节开幕式。众所周知，英语是一门全世界广泛应用的国际性语言。通过英语交流，世界变得更紧密。学习英语能让我们在世界上任何一个地方生存，因为它是一门全球性的语言。让我们享受这学习英语的乐趣吧。现在，我宣布，北大附中首届英语节开幕式现在开始。

在这次英语节中，我们有一系列丰富多彩的英语活动，有英文原声电影展演，英语o和英语竞赛活动。我相信这股浓烈的英语氛围一定会让你印象深刻。我们每一个人都应该积极参与进来。本次英语节持续三周，从12月5日至12月23日。现在我来给大家讲讲英语活动的细则。

1、一、二年级会进行英语歌曲串烧比赛。两个年级的竞赛时间都是在本月的第三周。一年级的是在周一第八节课，即12月19日。二年级在周二第九节课，即12月20日。

2、三、四年级会进行英语书写比赛和单词竞赛。关于英语书写比赛，我们会在第一周周五，即12月9日，发放竞赛纸，大家需在隔周>一，即12月12日，将其上交，学校将会对其进行评比。每班自行组织初赛，由英语老师选取前5名上交英语组。班级内优秀作品贴至班级墙壁，获奖作品学校橱窗内展示。单词竞赛则会在第二周周一第九节课进行。竞赛在班级内组织，每班一等奖3人，二等奖3人，三等奖4人。

3、五、六年级将会进行双语手抄报比赛和情景剧表演。双语手抄报比赛和三、四年级的p写比赛类似，学校会在第一周周五，也就是12月9日发放，大家需要在隔周周一，即12月12日上交。关于情景剧表演，我们会在第三周周三的第几节课在班级内进行。其中，评委中会包含16名初中部的学生评委哦！

最后，我们将会在第三周周五，也就是12月23日的大课间进行颁奖。

好的，这儿我们也有一些对于初中部的安排。我们会在12月15日至17日进行英语口语比赛，英语角是从12月19日至21日。下一项是我在做学生的时候最喜爱的一项活动---圣诞英语晚会，时间是12月22日或23日晚上。12月26日，第四周周一，我们会进行闭幕式并对获奖班级或个人进行颁奖。

现在，让我们以热烈的掌声欢迎我们敬爱的周校长为我们致开幕词。

感谢周校长充满激情而又发人深省的教诲。我坚信我们一定会在这次英语节中有精彩的表现的。

Good morning, my respectable teachers and lovely students. It is my great honor to anchor the Opening Ceremony of the 1st English Art Festival of the Affiliated High School of Peking University Wuhan Weiming Experimental School. As we know, English is an international language that is widely used all over the world; English have bought the world closer in terms of communication and business. By learning English we can survive anywhere in the world, as it’s a global language. Let’s enjoy learning English. I now pronounce the Opening Ceremony of English Art Festival begin.

Throughout the festival, we have variety of activities based on English, like original English movie, English Corner and even English contest. This great English atmosphere will really impress you. You should participate into this game. The English Art Festival lasts for 3 weeks, from 5th of Dec to 23rd of Dec. Now I will tell you the details about the English Contest.

1、Grade 1 and 2 will have English song contest. And you both have the contest in the 3rd week of this month. Grade 1 is having contest in the 8th class of Monday, 19th of Dec. Grade 2 is having contest in the 9th class of Tuesday, 20th of Dec.

2、Grade 3 and 4 will have the English hand-writing and word competition. For the English hand- writing contest, you will be given paper on Friday of the 1st week, 9th of Dec. And you should hand the paper on Monday 12th of Dec, because it will be evaluating by a judging panel. The award winning works will be displayed in the show case of the school. The word competition will be hold in the 9th class on Monday of the 2nd week.

3、Grade 5 and 6 will have a bilingual handwriting newspaper contest and sitcom. The bilingual handwriting newspaper contest is similar to Grade 3 and4’s handwriting contest. The paper will be given on Friday, 9th of Dec. And you should hand it out on Monday,12th of Dec. For the sitcom, you will act in your classroom in the 9th class on Wednesday, the 3rd week of Dec. And the judging panel includes 16 ss of our senior middle school.

Eventually, we will give the prizes on Friday of the 3rd week ，that is 23rd, Dec.

Now, let’s warmly welcome our respected principal, Mrs. Zhou, to give us an opening speech.

Good morning!

"Better English, better future” the 1st English Art Festival of the Affiliated High School of Peking University Wuhan Weiming Experimental School begins soon.

English have bought the world closer in terms of communication. We cultivated sentiment by art. We are celebrating this festival to create a campus culture atmosphere, to show the charm of English language art, expanding our knowledge through a variety of activities that will be opening leads for you into the halls of English culture, and discover the perfect combination of English language and campus art.

We are holding this activity to make a characteristic brand, to stimulate students in English and their talents and to create a campus cultural atmosphere. It can promote overall development of students and teachers, and improve the school's grade. I hope that all the students and teachers have done a wonderful job together to make the festival an excellent one. And it will be the campus beautiful scene, a brand of cultural activities in schools.

I believe that all the students and teachers will be full of enthusiasm, positive attitude, and engaged in variety of those English activities. With youth and wisdom, showing talent, flying dreams, let’s embracing the future! I wish this English Art Festival great success.
